Gerry's career began in the UK Rail industry for Network Rail as a signaler in 1999 for 4 years, he then became a Rail Safety Professional for 3 years.
He then moved into Possession Delivery for 14 years when the possession delivery teams were set up within Scotland Route, becoming the Senior Operations Delivery Manager for Scotland Route for 5 years.
Gerry then moved into Supply Chain to manage Millerhill and Kingmoor Yards before returning to Scotland Route as Area Planning Manager for 2 years, and was subsequently seconded to deliver all things Possession Limit Controls within Scotland Route and was the lead project manager delivering the Initiate access protection system into Edinburgh Signalling Centre.
